More Millennials have in pet insurance than life insurance which is an important indicator of how this demographic is embracing (or not) the ‘just in case’ economy. I had the pleasure of speaking at the BGL Expo and outlined how I think the insurance needs to adapt in order to engage with the next generation of employees and consumers. According to the chief technical officer at Aviva the insurance industry is currently built around how people lived 10 years ago. True, the industry is vulnerable to technological disruption but the real threat is people disruption; the changing expectations of consumers, workers and families.
